Blending dark humour and emotional honesty, Mood Swings explores the everyday struggles of living with bipolar, demonstrated through the main character “Her” and her personified disorder, “Bipolar.”

MAIN CAST

‘Her’
Mid twenties.
A determined young woman desperate to get out of her hospitality job and grasp an opportunity, all while managing her bipolar medication and her personified bipolar itself.
Her journey demonstrates the struggles and emotions of navigating daily life and social situations, as well as the pros and cons of taking medication.

‘Bipolar’
Mid twenties.
A personified physical being of Her’s imagination. Interacts with Her and causes mischief, trying to tempt her into doing the opposite of what she wants.
An eccentric, unpredictable presence whose emotions change rapidly and who reacts intensely to surroundings.
A standout role from the second they enter screen.

SUPPORTING ROLE

‘Her’s Mum’
Forties–fifties.
A short role with minimal lines but high emotional impact.
A comforting presence who tries to support her daughter through her lowest moments.
