Description

Title: Dig My Grave

Casting is now open for Dig My Grave, a coming-of-age folk horror short inspired by the Dartmoor legend of Jay’s Grave.

The film follows Ruby, a grieving young girl drawn to a mysterious grave on the moor. Through recurring visions and a quiet pull towards the supernatural, Ruby seeks connection, purpose and solace, until her longing leads her towards a haunting act of remembrance.

Written and directed by Lara Fullalove (Channel 4 New Writers Scheme 2025/26, BFI New Voices Scheme 2024).

Production Details — Shoot: 2–3 days, week commencing 13th April 2026
— Rehearsal & costume fitting: 1 paid day (Devon, location TBC)
— Location: Dartmoor, Devon (near Newton Abbot / Bovey Tracey)
— Contract: Equity Student / Short Film Agreement
— Pay: Equity minimums
— Travel covered; accommodation and per diems negotiable for non-local cast

— Drawn to a local grave through loneliness and unspoken grief
— Ability to convey internal emotion with subtlety and restraint
