Tony and Olivier Award-winning comedy by Yasmina Reza

Two sets of parents meet to discuss a playground fight between their sons. What begins as a civilised conversation unravels into one of the funniest, sharpest portraits of adult behaviour in modern theatre. It is a brilliantly written play with four substantial roles, and a real treat to perform.

REHEARSALS:
Evening rehearsals throughout July and August

CASTING:
4 roles available
2 Male / 2 Female
Preferred playing age: 35–50
Actors outside this range are still encouraged to audition

ROLES:

VERONICA NOVAK
Controlled and morally certain, whose composure slowly unravels through the evening

MICHAEL NOVAK
Affable and practical on the surface, with resentment simmering underneath

ANNETTE RALEIGH
Polite and tightly wound, eventually pushed into panic and anger

ALAN RALEIGH
A cynical lawyer distracted by work and increasingly contemptuous of the situation

Performers returning to the stage, trying theatre for the first time, or looking for a creative summer project are welcome.
