ABOUT THE PLAY:
A raw and tender drama spanning generations, tracing the shadow of HIV/AIDS from 1986 to 2026 and exploring grief, secrets and the bodies we love and lose.

SEEKING:
FRED – MALE, 19
A labourer and reluctant man of the house. Secretive, tender and burdened by caring for his family. A portrait of repression, duty and the catastrophe of loving wrong.

THOMAS – MALE, 19
A young gay man who is funny, vulnerable and brave. Navigates the fallout of a one-night stand that changes everything.

SCARLETT – FEMALE, 19
Thomas' best friend and chosen family. Sharp, loyal and kind. The emotional anchor of the story.

JANINE – FEMALE, 19
Fred's girlfriend. Warm, perceptive and emotionally intelligent. The quiet powerhouse of the 1986 timeline.

HIM – MALE, 20s–30s
A multi-role character playing a stranger, doctor, ghost and more. Requires a performer who can shift between seductive, clinical and haunting.

REHEARSALS:

NOTE:
Due to the themes of the play, the production will prioritise self-tapes from queer performers, particularly for the roles of Thomas, Fred and Him.
