PRODUCTION:
A CHRISTMAS CAROL

ABOUT:
A new adaptation of A Christmas Carol told through the eyes of Jacob Marley and an unruly band of spirits. A haunting, joyful and mischievous retelling exploring redemption, generosity and transformation.

SEEKING:
EBENEZER SCROOGE (Male/Masc Presenting, 40+)
• Miserly and cantankerous
• Must be able to portray both younger and older versions of the character
• Transforms into a warm and generous figure

JACOB MARLEY (Any Gender, 35+)
• World-weary, wise and reluctantly playful
• Also plays Belle, Mrs Cratchit and other roles

GHOST 1 (Any Gender, Playing Age 20–50)
• Playful, provocative and energetic
• Also plays Ghost of Christmas Present, Fezziwig, Clara and others

GHOST 2 (Any Gender, Playing Age 20–50)
• Playful, provocative and energetic
• Also plays Ghost of Christmas Past, Fred, Tim Cratchit and others

GHOST 3 (Any Gender, Playing Age 20–50)
• Playful, provocative and energetic
• Also plays Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come, Bob Cratchit, Mrs Fezziwig and others

REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent physical storytelling ability
• Strong singing voice
• Experience in ensemble work and multi-roling is essential

LOCATION:
Bristol, UK

ELIGIBILITY:
• Applicants must live within 25 miles of Bristol.

REHEARSALS:
• From Monday 19 October 2026
• 10:00am–6:00pm in Bristol

PERFORMANCES:
• Production week begins Monday 16 November 2026
• Previews from Friday 20 November 2026
• Opening night: Wednesday 25 November 2026
• Runs until Saturday 9 January 2027

AUDITIONS:
• Self-tape stage for longlisted applicants
• In-person workshops: Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 July 2026
• Possible callbacks: Friday 31 July 2026

COMPENSATION:
• £660 per week plus holiday pay
• ITC contract
