PRODUCTION:
Mummy's Home – a brand new comedy-tragedy play.

LOGLINE:
A hilarious and shocking rocket trip of a play following a fractured family through a narrative of destruction. An anarchic piece of queer theatre exploring rage, paranoia and the absurdity of the modern world.

Ungendered Femininity: A character entirely at odds with the way in which she is perceived. Ungovernable, resolute, beautiful, terrifying, unknowable, open, honest, mysterious, empathetic, brutal, omnipresent and exiled. A figure of forgotten power.

Exaggeratedly tyrannical. Charming, bigoted, manipulative, extreme, violence-generating, unpredictable, lecherous, funny and paranoid. The modern-day nuclear family man.

HARE
20+ playing age
Open to Global Majority, Gaelic or Brittonic non-binary/trans artists.

A malcontent trickster hiding love behind nihilism. Intelligent, arrogant, pompous, witty, selfish, bitter, self-deceiving, repressed and sensitive.

I
18+ playing age
Open to all artists.

Weaponised privilege. Spoiled, bratty, naïve, impulsive, brutish, pubescent, hateful and ignorant. Both a bully and a victim of circumstance.

II
18+ playing age
Open to all artists.

A thoughtful sadist conditioned to nastiness but capable of observing and questioning. Meticulous, self-interested, snide, cynical, scarred, vulnerable and conniving.

COMPENSATION:
This is a non-funded project with a view to securing ACE funding in 2027. Actors will receive a fee plus a split of the profit share from The Divine takings.
