PRODUCTION:
Mighty Legacy by Darren Yeboah, part of the Voyages: A New Writing Festival.

ABOUT:
A 60-minute stage play centred around family legacy, culture, community and the challenges of running a family food business.

SEEKING:
MALIK LENNOX
Male | Playing age 30-34 | Black British
Traits: visionary, disciplined, proud, perfectionist.
The eldest brother and emotional anchor of the family. A natural but reluctant leader carrying the weight of heritage, cultural pride and the responsibility of keeping the family business thriving.
Accent: London Multicultural English. Ability to switch to Jamaican Patois and Ghanaian Twi is a plus.

KAHLIL LENNOX
Male | Playing age 26-30 | Black British
Traits: precise, anxious, tech-savvy, overthinks everything.
The middle brother with a deep love for food, dining and technology. Socially aware with a strong fear of failure and a genuinely kind heart.
Accent: London Multicultural English. Ability to switch to Jamaican Patois and Ghanaian Twi is a plus.

JAHLIL LENNOX
Male | Playing age 22-25 | Black British
Traits: chaotic, streetwise, comic relief.
The youngest brother, charming, loud and deceptively clever. A ball of improvisation who causes problems and solves them with the same reckless energy.
Accent: London Multicultural English. Ability to switch to Jamaican Patois and Ghanaian Twi is a plus.

AUNTIE BEATRICE
Female | Playing age 50-60 | Black British
Traits: loyal, headstrong, charming, no-nonsense.
A legend in the community and a loyal customer of the Lennox family, often offering unsolicited advice.
Accent: Caribbean (Jamaican, Bajan, Trinidadian, etc.) or West African (Ghanaian, Nigerian, etc.).

HOMELESS MAN #1
Male | Playing age 40-50 | Any ethnicity
Traits: sneaky, anxious.
The person who steals Malik\'s star dish and derails the day.
Accent: Any.

HOMELESS MAN #2
Male | Playing age 40-50 | Any ethnicity
Traits: talkative, wise.
Comforts Malik after his loss and offers unexpected wisdom.
Accent: Any.

MUM (VOICE ONLY)
Female
A loving and wise mother who supports her sons from afar through voicemail messages.
Accent: London with the ability to switch to Ghanaian.

THE DUCHESS (VOICE ONLY)
Female
An influential food blogger whose reviews can make or break a food company.
Accent: Multicultural London English.
