CASTING CALL – ‘BENEATH THE CAMOUFLAGE TREE’ PLAY

LOOKING FOR:
Trans-masc/non-binary and female actors actors based in Hampshire/Dorset, playing age 20–30.

A preview performance of Beneath the Camouflage Tree is scheduled for 5th November at Forest Arts Centre in New Milton, following a well-received performance at White Bear Theatre. The play was also shortlisted for the Vault Creative Arts Playwriting Award and will embark on a small-scale tour in 2027.

JACK:
A quiet but observant Lance Corporal. More experienced than Tony, but most comfortable on the edges, observing. Applicants who identify as trans-masc, non-binary or gender non-conforming are particularly encouraged to apply, although applications are open to anyone who feels they could be a good fit.

EVELYN:
A feisty and playful young woman who disguises herself as Private Anthony Fielding to follow her 16-year-old brother into the war. Applicants who identify as LGBTQ+ are particularly encouraged to apply, although applications are open to anyone who feels they could be a good fit.
