A scruffy, sulky schoolboy who has been suspended from school and is less than thrilled about spending the day with his grandfather. Beneath his attitude, Rudi is a likeable and thoughtful boy who gradually warms to the day

GEORGE - Male, 80s
A warm, friendly and mischievous grandfather with a cheeky sense of humour. Full of energy and determined to make the most of his day with Rudi. Strong comic timing and warmth required

KERRY - Female, 40s
Rudi’s mum and a hardworking nurse, juggling work and family life. Stressed and frustrated but caring underneath it all. A naturalistic performance with good comic timing

LINDA - Female, 50s
A serious, smartly dressed woman with little patience for George’s antics. A small but memorable supporting role with some great comic moments
