LOGLINE
A psychological horror about perfection, told through a ballerina who discovers that consuming human flesh is the only thing that can make her strong enough to succeed

Lead Ballerina, Young Ballerina, Lead Ballerina/Body Double

ROLE
Lead Ballerina: Female, approximately 18–23. Strong acting ability and emotional range. Comfortable performing intense and unsettling scenes. Able to portray vulnerability, desperation, obsession and loss of control. Strong physicality and confidence with movement. Comfortable performing ballet movements, although professional ballet experience is not required. Able to work closely with a dance double for the final performance. Comfortable with body horror, blood and implied violence. Reliable and committed to rehearsals and filming

Young Ballerina: Female, approximately 16–22. Able to play younger if appropriate. Petite/smaller build preferred. Comfortable performing simple ballet/movement. Natural and expressive on camera. Able to portray innocence and admiration. Acting experience preferred but not essential

Lead Ballerina/Body Double: Female, approximately 18–25. Similar height/build to the lead actress. Strong ballet/dance ability. Comfortable performing choreography on camera. Able to portray both beautiful, controlled ballet and more intense/disturbing movement. Previous ballet experience preferred. Reliable and committed to rehearsals and filming

OTHER DETAILS
The protagonist is a young student and talented ballerina who is desperate to prove herself and keep her position as the lead in an upcoming performance

The character is a younger ballerina who looks up to the protagonist and sees her as an inspiration. She is innocent, enthusiastic and passionate about dance, creating an emotional contrast with the protagonist's increasingly disturbing behaviour

For the final performance scene, we are looking for a dancer who can perform as a body double for the protagonist. The dancer's face will not be shown, as the focus will be on her body, movement and performance

The film contains themes of body horror, cannibalism, blood and implied violence

Transport will be provided

Food and refreshments will be covered whilst shooting and footage can be provided for showreels
