Castrato is a short psychological horror film set in the 1970s. The story follows a gifted young choirboy whose search for belonging draws him into a world where musical perfection comes at a devastating cost

SEEKING:
FATHER JOHN
Male, playing age 40–55
A handsome priest who runs the boys’ orphanage. Devoutly religious, almost to the point of obsession, with a nervous twitch and a quietly commanding presence. His words rarely threaten, but his manner is deeply unsettling

MICHEL-CÉSAR
Male, playing age 55–70
A prestigious French choir director. Precise, composed and devoted to musical perfection. Warm and reassuring at first, he conceals an obsessive need for control and believes his disturbing actions are compassionate

LOCATION:
London and surrounding areas. Applicants should be based in or around London

FILMING DATES:
