Description

Dreamer is about a person who wakes up to find their dog stolen by thieves, prompting them to descend into the criminal underworld as well as their own sordid past in order to take back what was taken from them.

LOOKING FOR:
ALBERT
Male, 20–30
The protagonist, who comes out of retirement as a drug dealer to find the people who took his dog while battling his own vices and flaws. Mostly formal wear, including shirts and suits.

ELAINE
Female, 25–35
A therapist who gives her all to help her patients. She is a trusting and welcoming presence, acting as an emotional opposite to the protagonist with emotional maturity and quiet intelligence. Formal wear, skirts, blouses, blazers and glasses.

ORLA
Female, 20–25
One of the most important characters to the story. She haunts the narrative and spends much of the story affecting the protagonist's decisions while impacting many of the characters throughout the story. Casual wear, including t-shirts, jeans, trainers and tank tops.

SMOKING MAN
Male, 35–55
A malignant presence who acts as a silent puppet master controlling the people who oppose the protagonist. Suit and tie.

X & Y
X: Female, 20–30
Y: Male, 20–30
Members of a clean-up crew attached to a rival organisation targeting the protagonist. They are vicious, unforgiving and cunning. Monotone formal wear.

FOCUS GROUP PARTICIPANTS
Sophie: Female, 30s. Smart clothing.
Isaak: Male, 20s. Casual wear.
Renee: Female, 20s. Sportswear.

CUSTOMERS
The Teenager: Any gender, 17–20. Casual wear.
The Loser: Male, 30s. Robe, slippers, chain and sunglasses.

LOCATION
Edinburgh. Applicants must be local to Edinburgh or have a means of transport to commute for filming.

COMPENSATION
Unpaid
All roles are unpaid due to the film being made on a strictly low budget, with the majority of the budget being put towards festivals and promotion for the film.
