Student TV Pilot

Casting is underway for “Among The Colony,” a student television pilot being produced as part of a Scripted TV assignment. The project will film the first 10 minutes of the pilot episode.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
After the disappearance of her best friend, aspiring journalist Gabby goes undercover within a cult to find her. As the investigation deepens, the competitive world of journalism threatens to expose her cover — and ultimately her life.

MAIN ROLES

GABBY — Female | Playing Age 20–26
An aspiring journalist determined to find her missing best friend. Kind, driven, and reckless, with a voice that demands to be heard.

ASHER — Male | Playing Age 20–26
Gabby’s closest ally. Ambitious and self-motivated, with charm and underlying loyalty.

LUCY — Female | Playing Age 20–26
Gabby’s best friend. A mysterious figure whose attempt to infiltrate a cult leads to dangerous consequences.

WALLACE — Male | Playing Age 50+
Gabby and Asher’s boss. A seasoned investigative journalist with a gruff exterior and unwavering moral compass.

EXTRAS
Cult members, office workers, and street pedestrians
Ages 18+ | All looks and playing ages welcome

SHOOT DETAILS
Test Shoot: Monday 9th March 2026
Location: Edinburgh Napier University, Craiglockhart Campus
(Gabby & Asher required)

Principal Shoot: 16th – 22nd March 2026
Multiple locations across Edinburgh City Centre (including possible Portobello)
