A UAL student short film production is currently casting for Dreams of Maple Seeds, shooting in London this May.

Travel and meals provided. All roles unpaid.

Synopsis:
Little Luca escapes into the world inside his mother’s forest painting, where imagination becomes both a shelter and a brave step toward growing up.

ROLES:

Julie – Lead
Female | 18–50
Late 20s to early 40s, a kind mother and artist, feeling the pressures of single-parenthood. Would prefer acting duos (mother and son) for intimate and emotional scenes, but open to all applicants.

Little Luca – Lead
Male | 8–14
8–14 (looks 10), an introspective and quiet boy, who navigates growing up in his unique circumstances. All applicants welcome, but those with drama experience are encouraged to apply as this is a minimal dialogue role with emphasis on physical performance. Parents must be available and present on set at all times. UK film laws to be followed in regards to acting laws for minors.

Oliver / Painting Figure – Lead
Male | 18–50
Late 20s to early 40s, a distant father, and the man in the painting that Little Luca seeks.
