A solitary window watcher recounts their three most unforgettable glimpses into unsuspecting strangers’ lives, exploring the themes of love, death and anger.

Age 50–70

An older woman suffering with a heart condition passes away after health complications.
Ceri lives with her daughter Amanda, who has been caring for her during a period of illness. Their relationship has strengthened since the death of Ceri’s husband eight years earlier, leaving them deeply dependent on each other.

Amanda
Female
Age 30–40

Amanda lives with her mother Ceri, who has been unwell due to complications with a heart condition. One morning she discovers her mother has passed away and must confront the grief while also dealing with the practical steps that follow.

Margaret
Female
Age 50–70

A queer woman in a long-term relationship with her partner Delia. Their relationship is portrayed as peaceful, loving and emotionally grounded in deep friendship.

Age 50–70

Margaret’s partner in a same-sex relationship. Together they live a quiet life and represent a tender, understanding and deeply affectionate partnership.
