Casting for 'Don’t Mistake Me For Your Sins', a psychological horror set in 1970's Hong Kong.
ROLES:
BRANDY LEUNG (EAST ASIAN, Female, 20s)
Total Pay: £480 (est. 32 hours of work)
Exhausted and emotionally unravelling. After fleeing her past, she finds herself trapped in a motel room where memories and guilt manifest around her. She is fragile, haunted by the choices that led her here.
THE FIANCÉ (EAST ASIAN, Male, 20s–30s)
Total Pay: £300 (est. 20 hours of work)
Brandy’s fiancé, who appears through fragmented memories. Charismatic on the surface, but emotionally he shifts between affectionate, defensive, and unsettling. He has a confident presence.
AUNTIE (EAST ASIAN, Female, 50+)
Total Pay: £120 (est. 8 hours of work)
A mysterious older woman who bursts into Brandy’s motel room and scolds her angrily in Cantonese.
Note: The role requires the ability to speak Cantonese.
JENNIFER (EAST ASIAN, Female 18+)
Magnetic and quietly disruptive. She doesn’t need to do much to command attention. Whether intentional or not, she becomes the catalyst for Brandy’s unraveling.
BEST FRIEND (Male, 20s–30s)
Total Pay: £120 (est. 8 hours of work)
The fiancé’s closest friend, appearing in a key memory. Outgoing and loud, he embodies temptation and excess, encouraging the reckless behaviour of the fiancé.
DANCER (Female, 20s–30s)
Total Pay: £120 (est. 8 hours of work)
A performer in a strip club memory. She moves with confidence and control, as she dances a symbolic Lynchian dance.
Note: The role requires comfort with revealing clothing.
