CASTING CALL – “BLACK BETH” (R&D PLAY, LONDON)

Casting 5 actors for the R&D of a new play “Black Beth” by Cheryl May Ndione.

PROJECT:
A bold, meta-theatrical drama exploring race, authorship, and power, set in a rehearsal room staging a play about slavery.

ROLES:
• Beth (Black female, early 20s) – Producer of “Rum and Red”
• Wunmi (Black female, late 20s) – Actor in “Rum and Red”
• Isabel (White female, early 20s) – Lead actor & director
• Dalton (Black male, mid-20s) – Actor in “Rum and Red”
• Thomas (White male, mid-20s) – Actor & set designer

• R&D Week: 8th–12th June (Arcola Theatre)
• Script-in-hand: 12th June
• Work-in-progress show: 16th June (Greenwich Theatre)
• Auditions: 31st May (in-person)
• Payment: Low funded R&D (profit split model)
