American Candy is a comedic crime thriller set in an American candy store.

The R&D will explore:
• New characters and scenes
• Comedy experimentation
• Political messaging
• Staging and movement
• Collaborative development

LOOKING FOR:
CONNOR -Male (18–23)
• White British
Lower working class. Lewd, irreverent, left school at 16. Lost and looking for guidance. Looks up to Daniel. Generous, brave, restless, envious, lacking confidence, disillusioned.

ZAYNAB - Female (18–23)
• British South Asian
Second generation. Lower middle class / upper working class. Did well at school. Clever, bold, ambitious, idealistic, pugnacious, but slightly out of her depth.

SABRINA - Female (27–35)
• White British
A "trad wife" influencer. Entrepreneurial, shrewd, calculated, materialistic, ruthless, disarming, witty. Often pretends to know less than she does.

DANIEL - Male (27–40)
• White British
Married to Sabrina. Working class upbringing. Now wealthy. Sleazy, arrogant, witty, charismatic, dangerous, cynical, cowardly. Deep rage beneath the surface.
