Description
Sherlock Holmes and the Innsmouth Crown is a multi-era psychological horror that reframes the Holmes canon through a cosmic horror lens.
Looking for:
WATSON
Playing Age: 20s–50s
Gender: Male Identifying
Dr. John Watson exists across two timelines (1947 & 1975): the loyal companion audiences know, and an older man crushed by guilt and memory.
This version of Watson is not simply a narrator, he is deeply complicit in Holmes’ downfall.
Intelligent, emotionally restrained, and haunted by what he witnessed, Watson carries the burden of a truth too terrible to share.
HARRIET / KELLY
Playing Age: 20s–40s
Gender: Female Identifying
A dual-role performance.
HARRIET
A driven journalist in 1975 investigating her estranged father, John Watson. Sharp, emotionally intelligent, and determined to uncover the truth no matter the cost.
KELLY
Harriet’s daughter in the present day. Detached and emotionally guarded, Kelly slowly uncovers the horrifying reality hidden within her family history.
The actor will transition between timelines and emotional states, carrying much of the show’s emotional core.
Rehearsals will begin in Edinburgh at the end of May, either in a 4-hour weekly block or two 2-hour sessions, arranged as much as possible around the team’s availability.
The show will run in the evenings from 24th–29th August at theSpace @ Surgeon’s Hall.
