A NEW FILM BY SAOIRSE WALL

The Farmer, The Ass, The Worker and The Lapdog will be a dance for four human performers, each wearing cameras on their bodies. Audio-description techniques will be integrated into the choreographic process to create a dance score for this hopeful retelling of an Aesop’s fable, culminating in a dance of joy and solidarity.

SEEKING:
4 dancers with movement experience to perform The Farmer, The Ass, The Worker and The Lapdog.

All performers with movement experience are welcome to apply. The production is keen to support access requirements for selected performers within the means of the budget.

LOCATION:
Glasgow

SHOOTING:
September/October 2026

AVAILABILITY:
Availability in September and October 2026 is required.

REHEARSALS AND SHOOTING:
5 days of rehearsal and 2 days of shooting.

COMPENSATION:
£2,649 total per performer, at SAU rates.

ACCESS:
Rehearsal venues will be wheelchair accessible. The final filming location may be outdoors. Performer access needs will be taken into account in the selection of rehearsal and filming locations. Access riders are welcome at the point of applying or during the project.
