Queen of the May follows 17 year old newly made Queen of the Scots, Elizabeth, who was forced to flee for her life with brother in-law Neil and stepdaughter Marjorie. The film is a story about powerlessness and survival rooted in a gritty, wild setting. The three of them go on a harrowing journey as they find themselves in a situation where they become stripped of their titles, safety and their identity that has carried them to where we find them.
