Synopsis
After relocating a dying monster against protocol, George is forced to confront his team leader during a routine harvest.

AILSA
— Age: 25–35
— Primary Character
Ailsa is a committed leader who holds her role with the utmost importance and becomes irritated by anyone who slows the process. Believing the mission is always justified, she sees the monsters as exactly what they are labelled to be — monsters.
ROWAN
— Age: 20–30
— Secondary Character
Rowan is a capable member of Ailsa’s crew. However, his loyalties lie more with George, having assisted him in relocating the monster. As a more recent recruit, Rowan does not share the same disdain for the monsters and views the job simply as work.

Pranjal is known by her neighbours at best as a recluse, and at worst as “crazy.” She spends her days caring for a defunct robot in her living room, her own unique form of connection in an increasingly distant world.
Logline:
In an attempt to celebrate the return of her wife, an international aid worker, Kiara brings together a fractured community of neighbours to throw a party one that quickly spirals into chaos.

Warm, husbandly presence. Ability to show affection through subtle acting and convey strong emotion primarily through the eyes.
ADDIE
— Gender: Female
— Screen Age: 60–80
— Character: Terminally ill woman who has accepted her mortality
— Performance Notes:
Strong, brave, loving presence. Must be able to portray a dying character with emotional subtlety and depth, largely through facial expression and eye work.
JANE
— Gender: Female
— Screen Age: 18–40
— Character: Hospice carer with a caring, daughter-like presence
— Performance Notes:
Gentle, empathetic energy. Naturalistic performance style required.

PROJECT SYNOPSIS
A terminally ill man awakens from cryopreservation after 13 years to reunite with his dying wife so they may pass away together. A cure is discovered, forcing him to choose between dying alongside his true love or continuing to live in a world he no longer recognises.

The Painter
