    AVAILABLE ROLES
All ages listed below are character ages.

Open to actors of any age, any appearance, and any accent playing these characters.

We encourage applications from actors who are part of the global majority and/or from underrepresented groups.

    PHIL
    ~60-80yo, Male Identifying
Phil is dead. As the only character in the show who is already in the afterlife, Phil is free to move around the mortal world as he pleases, sometimes even breaking the fourth wall. Phil is present to see his wife Anse as she crosses over, and through this witnesses his family process grief.

    KATE
    ~30-40yo, Female Identifying
Kate is a lawyer who is happily married to her wife Ana. She has a 15 year old son, Sam, who is still struggling with the death of his father. She is the oldest of Phil and Anse’s three children. Kate is present to ensure her mother’s smooth passing.

    RENÉE
    ~25-35yo, Female Identifying
Renée is an actor-influencer who is chronically cuffed. Her current infatuation is her boyfriend Rob. She is the youngest of Phil and Anse’s three children. Renée is present in an attempt to reconnect with her family.

Please note that this role may include a scene involving intimacy (stage kiss & simulated / implied sex) and possibly partial nudity (undergarments). This is scalable to the performer’s comfort level. This part of the scene will be choreographed in a closed room. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

    KIT
    14-15yo, Female Identifying / Non-Binary
Kit is Sam’s biology partner. They are not friends (yet). Kit does not really have friends, but doesn’t think she needs them either. She meets Sam’s family for the first time, and is also the only person to have an encounter with Phil apart from Anse. Kit is present in a very strange dedication to “complete her biology project”.

  • Casting call for “Warriors” a new Scottish musical.

    Description

This is a paid profit share production, more details to follow below.

The show follows 4 serving soldiers from 1 SCOTS who have just been posted to Colchester as part of 16 Air Assault Brigade, the soldiers have only recently passed their infantry training and are about to head off to Afghanistan.

It shows how these soldiers deal with life, love, death, relationships, homosexuality, substance abuse and the mundane day to day living and training for current operations in Afghanistan, as well as how going away affects those around them.

The show was previously performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2023 with 5 star reviews, and again at the Oran Mor in Glasgow in August 2024.

Looking for 5-6 strong male presenting singer-actors with some previous dance experience, playing age 22-30, to complete our cast and help bring this show to life through 2026.
Looking for cast members to take on the lead roles of the 4 soldiers as well as flexible performers who are willing to take on a swing/cover role in the production and learn 2 parts each. All covers/swings will be on standby for shows as well as getting confirmed dates on which they’ll perform.
There will be a readthrough in December and weekly rehearsals on Wednesday nights in Glasgow, as well as the occasional extra rehearsal to be arranged once we have a full cast, starting in January. The first show is planned for 25th April 2026 in Gartcosh, we will then have performances in various social and miners clubs between April and August, leading up to a full Fringe run in 2026.

Several fundraisers are being organised to bring in funds throughout the year, which combined with ticket sales will go towards making sure each performer gets a decent profit share. We are also hoping to provide a larger share to each performer during the fringe, we are working hard to make sure the show is well advertised and it will help assure it’s well attended, we will however also rely on the performers to help with advertising and ticket sales.
