LOGLINE: An eventful night out in Edinburgh forces a lad from the countryside to re-evaluate his closest friendships and his desire to move to the city. ROLES: Charlie (19) – mild mannered, enthusiastic and creative. He is often impulsive and lacking a clear sense of direction or positive influence in his life. He feels an urge to leave his rural home for the city, though he lacks the motivation to do anything about it. Pete (20) – Charlie’s best friend since childhood. Seemingly content with his rural lifestyle, loneliness and depression hide behind a happy-go-lucky, lad-ish exterior. Daisy (19) – a cynical arts student, is returning to her rural home to visit her old school pals. She feels a sense of superiority over the boys for having moved away to study, but is uncertain about the value and longevity of her new friendships at uni.
