TONI (25) Playing age: 22 – 28
Assertive, confident older sister of Lee, partner of Maggie and co-owner of The Golden Gate Chinese takeaway. Toni is an opportunist who likes to be in control but still cares deeply for her partner and younger brother. Operates a drug business, using the takeaway as a front.
MAGGIE (24) Playing age: 21 – 27
Passionate, loving and loyal to her partner Toni. Acts as an extended motherly figure to Toni’s younger brother Lee. She is aware of Toni’s involvement with the drugs business and criminal undertakings but turns a blind eye to the activities, believing that Toni just has their best interests at heart.
LEE (15/16) Playing age: 18-20 must be comfortable portraying a teenager. Most of Lee’s dialogue is off- screen.
Boyish and sure of himself, in a loveable way. He is a budding filmmaker and has just received his first camera that he uses to capture the footage we see in Cash Only. Lee has small town syndrome and aspires for more than his current circumstances. He is unaware of Toni’s drug dealing operation being carried out.
