Casting for 6 actors for The Attic Theatre’s production of Jane Erye, production dates are 12th to the 29th of September with no shows on Mondays (evening performances are 7.30pm Tuesday to Saturday and matinées are 2.30 on Saturdays and 5pm on Sundays).
The Attic is a small 80 seat Theatre in Stratford-Upon-Avon. This is a profit share production with a guarantee of £1,000.
Rehearsals are tbc dependent on cast availability as due to the fact that it’s profit share we will work around existing commitments as much as possible, but are unlikely to start before the 26th of August.
Auditions will be at The Attic Theatre on 12th August, if you are available for the production dates but not the audition day please do get in contact as we can arrange for you to self tape. Please note that accommodation is not provided.
JANE: Playing age between 22-30. A strong willed and determined woman but also emotionally intelligent. Must be a very capable actor as she vary rarely leaves the stage and will anchor the whole show.
MR.ROCHESTER: Playing age 30 – 45. Initially moody and gruff but though out the show must be able to soften and show a more vulnerable side.
BLANCHE AND AS CAST: Playing age 20-25. Blanche is an attractive haughty woman with very little regard for other people. This role will multi role with a few other characters.
ST.JOHN AND AS CAST: Playing age 25 – 35. St.John is a devoutly religious man who helps to bring Jane back to her former self after she has left Thornfield. This role will mutli role with a few other characters.
MRS.FAIRFAX AND AS CAST: Playing age 40+. Mrs.Fairfax is the kind, sharp eyed house keeper at Thornfield. This role will multi role with a few other characters.
UTILITY ROLE: Playing age 40+. Male or female actor. This part requires and actor who is very competent at multi rolling.
All actors need to have a good Yorkshire accent apart from Rochester (he can be RP)
