Iris, a writer and wannabe surfer that is fed up with her monotonous life of work and insomnia suddenly finds a connection with another lonely soul, Kallie, one night at the beach.
IRIS (Lead) FEMALE/EARLY 20s A chronic escapist that isolates herself from people and the world in general focusing on spending all her free time reading and writing. She is also a bit of a hypocrite, she complains that her life is boring and believes she is of no significance, yet she does absolutely nothing to change that, hoping that something magical will happen that will kickstart her life for her. However, despite all her insecurities and her stubborn mindset she is very creative, funny, and well-spoken.
KALLIE (Supporting) FEMALE/EARLY 20s A caring and selfless student that has a history of broken friendships and trust issues. She finds it hard to become close with others, distancing herself to save the trouble and being very picky when it comes to making friends. Despite all of this, she is a hopeless romantic and craves affection and intimacy. She is also very independent, a hard worker, as well as a dreamer. Kallie is interested in Iris as she listens well and gives her time to come out of her shell, she inspires her to be more trusting of people and have a more positive outlook on relationships with other people.
