Elaine Desmond (playwright) and Kevin Hayes (Cork City Ballet choreographer) are holding auditions for the development of TERPSICHORE, a new play which is part- theatre/part-ballet. The piece explores grief, family conflict and the redemptive power of dance.

• CARA, Dance Student, female, mid-40s. (Performer should have experience in acting and a strong ballet/contemporary dance background)

• ADAM, Ballet Teacher, male, 20s-30s: (Performer should have strong ballet/contemporary dance background. Acting training/experience preferred)

• KANE, Brother, tall, imposing, male, late-40s. (Actor, no dance experience necessary)

• ROSE, Mother, female, 70s+ (Actress, no dance experience necessary)

• ENSEMBLE, three performers, female (Acting and dance experience required)

Performers aged 18+ considered for all roles. All roles are paid.
