  • Actors Needed for Multiple Short-Form Films – Open Casting Call

    Description

    CASTING CALL – PLYMOUTH, UK

Actors are sought for a series of short-form narrative film projects based in Plymouth.

    Roles Available

Louis – Male, mid to late 20s
Louis believes art is survival. Music, painting and cinema are not hobbies but necessities. He plays local bars, street corners and any place that will listen, still waiting for recognition. Calm and level-headed on the surface, he carries impatience and a hunger for something bigger than himself. Confident yet internally lost, Louis knows who he wants to be but has no clear path to get there.
Meeting Émilie shifts his world. Their bond is immediate and unguarded, offering relief rather than naïveté. As their connection deepens, Louis is forced to confront whether love supports or threatens the truth he lives by.

Émilie – Female, mid to late 20s
Émilie is grounded and emotionally mature. Art matters deeply to her, but as a means to sustain life rather than consume it. A bass player on the local bar circuit, she is warm, quietly confident and guarded. Beneath this exterior is a constant drive for self-preservation, choosing security over risk and pulling away when emotional costs feel too high.
Louis becomes a sense of home and safety, allowing Émilie to imagine something more. As his ambition grows, she must question whether the price of staying is greater than the risk of leaving.

Casting details have been kept intentionally open to encourage a wide range of interpretations.

  • Casting Call – “Disorder” (Short Film)

    Description

    Project Overview

Disorder follows Sean, a young man attempting to complete a critical job interview that could significantly advance his career. Sean lives with ADHD, which is represented on screen as a real, physical figure — The Pale Man — inspired by silent film aesthetics (white-painted face, dark suit).

The Pale Man appears only to Sean, relentlessly distracting and sabotaging him during the interview. The setting is a heightened corporate environment where nonconformity and failure to follow strict conduct are punished. Sean struggles to remain focused, fidgeting and losing track under the interviewer’s scrutiny.

At the climax, it is revealed that the interviewer also has ADHD but dismisses it as a weakness rather than a legitimate struggle. Sean’s opportunity collapses, and the film ends with him launching a computer at The Pale Man, before ultimately adopting the white-painted appearance himself.

    ---

    Role Available

    The Pale Man
    — Playing Age: 40+ (flexible)
    — Gender: Male
    — Ethnicity: Any

    Character Description:
The Pale Man is the physical manifestation of Sean’s ADHD. He wears a black suit and white facial paint, visually reminiscent of characters from David Lynch’s The Grandmother. This is a non-speaking role, relying heavily on physicality, expression, and presence. The character becomes increasingly disruptive and sinister, doing everything possible to derail Sean’s interview.
