URGENT – FINAL CALL FOR STUDENT SHORT FILM
“Unfortunate Fortunes”
Calling actors based in (or willing to travel to) Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire.
Synopsis
Three crooks attempt to rob a clinic they believe will be the perfect score. Poor planning and sheer incompetence quickly get in the way when the clinic has little to no money. After a near run-in with the police, they turn to a scratch card to change their luck. Fortune appears to be on their side—before it is quite literally snatched from their hands.

The Stranger – Male, 30–50 (Supporting)
A confused, eerie presence. Similar to The Other, his origin and life are unknown.
Synopsis
Beth is out for an awkward welcome-home meal with her parents and her girlfriend. Mid-meal, her father goes to the toilet and does not return. In his place, a younger man comes and sits down with them. Beth becomes frightened and searches for her father to no avail, while no one else seems to notice the difference.

Casting for a graduate short film about wild swimming in Scotland and embracing Scottish heritage. Filming will take place at Portobello Bay Beach, Edinburgh.

President of the wild swimming group “The Selkies Snàmh Wild Swim Group”
Linda does not get changed or enter the water. She will recite lines on Portobello Beach wearing a big coat, so no cold water swim is required. Ideally fluent or with an understanding of Gaelic, though this is not essential. Linda is friendly, warm and proud of Scotland.
Synopsis
The film follows Arabella, a 20-year-old woman who joins a wild swimming group to embrace her Scottish heritage. Within the group, Angus, in his 50s, is more well-liked and has a stronger-sounding Scottish accent. Arabella struggles to identify as Scottish through wild swimming.
