Lesley at the weekend is about finding your place in a community but also finding your true self. You will be performing the first 20 pages. Rehearsals will be in the first weeks of January in central Liverpool.
Extract cast list:
Les/Lesley – Gender fluid but male at birth. Late 50’s (We would like to cast someone with lived experience)
Nicky – Female, late 40’s, leader of the book club. A bit out of the loop with new ideas. Her daughter calls her a boomer.
Maggie – Female, early 50’s widower, Nicky’s best friend. Doesn’t like change but adapts well when she gets used to it. Can come across as prickly.
Cheryl – Female, mid 30’s mother of twins but has a secret. She’s grown up quickly because of this. (Will also play Flo as VO. Flo is Nicky’s teenage daughter)
Darren – Cheryl’s husband, late 30’s. He is in mental trauma after a car accident
