CASTING CALL FOR SHORT FILM

Seeking both speaking roles and extras who are available on both the 19th and 20th for filming in/around ROMFORD.

Seeking roles:

Scott: Lead, Male, 16-21 playing
Scott is an insecure teenager, who goes on a journey of inner conflict. He uses anger as a defence mechanism, is impulsive which gets him into trouble, and is internally struggling.

Critic: Supporting, 18-25 playing, Male
The critic is Scott’s intrusive thoughts. He speaks to Scott but has no communication with the other characters. He creates a dominant presence within the frame, an intense character who insults Scott and follows him around.

Hannah: Supporting, Female, 16-21
Hannah is Scott’s sister. Despite having a dysfunctional relationship with her brother, she looks out for him and finds ways to get through to him as she wishes for an older brother who she can look up to.

Maths Teacher: Supporting, Female, 20-30
The maths teacher appears strict but has good intentions and wants Scott to fulfil his potential. She empathises with Scott and tries to encourage him.

Extras: Background / Extra, 16-20
Must be available on the 19th and 20th. You will only be required on one of the days however which day is not yet decided.

RSC REGIONAL GENERAL AUDITIONS

Casting a production of Julius Caesar, directed by Atri Banerjee, which tours the country and visits the Lowry, in Salford and Blackpool in 2023, and this marks a good opportunity to hold a day of auditions in Greater Manchester & Lancashire shortly. The play is about a nation in crisis. Atri is keen to represent the voices of our nation in the production and so these general auditions are an opportunity for us to get to know actors in this community, along with the possibility of being cast in the production.
