Actors Call Out For Lesley at the Weekend Part of What Happens next Show date 19th Jan, 2023 At Hope Street Theatre Lesley at the weekend is about finding your place in a community but also finding your true self. You will be performing the first 20 pages. Rehearsals will be in the first weeks of January in central Liverpool.

Les/Lesley – Gender fluid but male at birth. Late 50’s (We would like to cast someone with lived experience)
Nicky – Female, late 40’s, leader of the book club. A bit out of the loop with new ideas. Her daughter calls her a boomer.
Maggie – Female, early 50’s widower, Nicky’s best friend. Doesn’t like change but adapts well when she gets used to it. Can come across as prickly.
Cheryl – Female, mid 30’s mother of twins but has a secret. She’s grown up quickly because of this. (Will also play Flo as VO. Flo is Nicky’s teenage daughter)
Darren – Cheryl’s husband, late 30’s. He is in mental trauma after a car accident
