CASTING CALL FOR SUPPORTING CAST
TITLE: TINSEL
A short action comedy film set at Christmas.

DATES: 5 to 7 days during March 2023, dates TBC.
LOCATION: Portsmouth, UK.

ROLES:
• JAKE – Male, age: 40+, father and farmer who is struggling financially due to the cost of living crisis, attempts to steal some Xmas decorations and gets caught, reacts by holding the garden centre up with his rifle. (Supporting role)
• GARY – Male, age: 25 to 40, action movie geek that works in the garden centre and becomes massively involved in the hostage situation. (Supporting role)
• HOLLY – Female, age: 25 to 35, love interest of Tinsel, works in the garden centre and also happens to be deaf. (Supporting role)
• KAREN – Female, age: 30 to 45, loud, opinionated and tactless, also works in the garden centre. Comedy performer required. (Day player role)
• ANGRY DAD – Male, age: 40+, aggressive, rough and ready, taking his kid to see Santa but is late, becomes physically aggressive with Tinsel. (Supporting role)
• PENSIONER #1 and #2 – Two Females, age: 70+, two OAP’s are shopping in the garden centre, oblivious to the hostage situation, become involved in the tense stand off, comic performers required. (Supporting roles)
