Story: A hard-of-hearing woman Ellie keeps receiving voicemails from a stranger woman Siby iil. Ellie sets off across the town to find Sibyl, and she embarks on a thrilling and wonderful journey in a late night.
The story is about the way people reconnect with the world and with others after grief and trauma.
Characters:
Ellie: Early 20s, independent and with a sensitive heart. An accident leaves Ellie moderately deaf, and her life is rocked by loneliness and discomfort. Until she starts receiving constant voicemails from a stranger woman, Sibyl, to whom she develops a special attachment. After learning that Sibyl is also caught in a tough situation in her life, Ellie decides to go across town to grant Sibyl’s wish.
Sibyl: Voiceover. A young woman. A violin musician, attentive, life-loving, energetic and gentle. After the death of her best friend who was also her best audience, she often left voice mail to her friend’s original phone number. Until the band disbanded and Sibyl’s life became a mess.
