Maeve is an outspoken character, devastated by the loss of her older brother, the only person she felt close to in her family. She confided her secrets with him about her sexuality and how she feels outcasted by the rest of the family.
During the 5 years of family dinners, Maeve grows closer with her younger brother Callum.
Tension and hatred are prevalent in Maeve’s relationship with her mother. Even though she feels that she will never measure up, she feels strained by her mother’s expectations and under constant pressure to live up to her standards. Maeve feels devalued and invalidated because of Leanne’s destructive, passive-aggressive attitude.
Despite her best efforts to maintain a facade of indifference, Maeve longs for her mother’s love and approval, but knowing the only way to do that is to heal from her own grief first.

Being the youngest and the only male left after his father leaves, Callum feels the need to take up the mantle his father once held.
He originally studied criminology to gain approval from both his father, Craig, and big sister, Shannon.
He dropped out of university to study medicine but was unfortunately not accepted into any universities of his choosing. He keeps this as his big secret, not wanting his mother to judge or criticize his choice, but he confides in Maeve after they become closer.
He tries to remain upbeat with a positive attitude, contrasting the rest of his family.
Character: Aiden Dawson (Day Player)
Playing Age: 24
Aiden had hopes and dreams but fell short in university due to drug addiction. He was kicked out his first year there which led him to move back home.
He was closest to his little sister Maeve; they told each other everything.
He passed away at 24 years old from an overdose at home where Maeve and his mum, Leanne, found his body.
