MAIN CHARACTERS
Michelle Female, 40s-50s
The grown-up daughter of Thomas and Lucas. She is now a mother herself to Laura. Michelle carries emotional scars from her childhood, particularly from when Lucas died by suicide and Thomas’ abuse and neglection towards her. She seeks closure and reconciliation with Thomas.
Thomas Male, 70s-80s
Michelle’s dad. He is struggling with mental illness and dementia after a whole life alone. Thomas is haunted by the events of the past, particularly his husband Lucas’s death, and seeks redemption and reconciliation with Michelle.
SUPPORTING CHARACTERS
Laura Female, 17
Michelle’s teenage daughter. She accompanies Michelle on a visit to Thomas’s house. Laura provides support to her mother but also challenges her to confront her past and emotions regarding Michelle’s parents.
Young Michelle Female, 7
The daughter of Thomas and Lucas. She appears in flashbacks as a young child, witnessing traumatic events involving her fathers. She carries a teddy bunny with her, symbolizing her innocence and the past.
Lucas Male, 30s
One of the fathers in the family. Like Young Thomas, Lucas is shown in flashbacks as a loving parent to Michelle. He tragically dies by suicide, leaving behind Thomas and Michelle.
Young Thomas Male, 30s
The other father in the family. He appears in flashbacks as a younger man, caring for his daughter Michelle alongside his partner Lucas. Thomas is struggling with mental health issues.
