Firm Reflection
Jimmy is an elderly gentleman with dementia who relives key memories from his past, all of which involve handshakes. When his grandson wakes him from his dream he is confused and tries to introduce himself, as the two hands shake Jimmy relives the key memories in his life. The film begins with 3 flashbacks to Jimmy’s past, 2 of which involve a mentor from his past (Willie)
Character Required:
Willie/Mentor figure: 35-55 year old man who owns a pub/restaurant. Has a calming presence and is always straight to the point. His seasoned demeanour carries the weight of wisdom and experience. Dresses well and commands respect.
