Casting call for a new play with songs ‘The Saviour’
Set in a Yeovil fish and chip shop. A tale of two sisters and their failing business.
Blakes’ is a family business that’s in trouble. There are no potatoes. CHRISSY comes back from her not-so illustrious career, as a holiday camp entertainer on the Somerset coast, under the premise of saving the business (and the town). CHRISSY is crushingly lonely. BJ has been left to run the business alone for years. DAVE, the dead dad Narrator, leads the audience on a journey through this tale.
Roles
Chrissy Blake: 45. BJ’s older sister. Dave’s oldest daughter. Entertainer. Bubbly. Over the top. Obsessed with money. Very tits and teeth.
Dave Blake: Two years dead. 75. Ghoul-like in appearance. Fish and chip shop owner. Father of BJ & CHRIS. Narrator. Both performers need to be singers and movers.

Auditions: Monday 9th September, 11am at Westlands, Yeovil in Somerset.
Rehearsals: Start W/C 21st October 2024 in South Petherton.
