Main Protagonist, Alizon Device (19): A Young Woman, valiant & strong, on the run after being accused of Witchcraft.

Secondary Character, Anne Redferne (25): Alizon’s lover, bids her farewell after Alizon is forced to flee.

Antagonist, John Law (55): An uncharitable, misogynistic man. Suspicious and reluctant to help Alizon after she begs for help.
