Casting call for ‘Jackie T’

‘Jackie T’ is a student film chronicling the tender story of a man who discovers his true identity later in life. After donating his late wife’s clothes to his local charity shop, Henry is encouraged to explore his gender identity by an understanding shop assistant.

Henry: Lead, male, 55-70 playing
Description: Henry is a retired man of few words. Quietly grieving the loss of his wife, he begins down a road of self-discovery. He is vulnerable, though struggles to let people in.

Helen: Supporting, female, 55-65
Description: Helen is a long-time friend of Henry and his late wife. She is well-meaning but oftentimes comes across harsh. She struggles to understand Henry’s gender identity.

Jessica: Supporting, female, 20-25
Description: Jessica is the daughter of Helen. She is warm, self-assured and is the comforting presence that guides Henry through his transition from male to female.
